Welcome to Lynden Youth Sports!
We are heartbroken to share that all LYS sports are cancelled through the end of 2020 due to the current pandemic.
We’re not able to meet state guidelines until we reach Phase 4, and we can’t get there before our Fall seasons would have started.
We want nothing more to be on the fields and courts with your kids, but we can’t do that safely at this time.
If something should dramatically change before the end of the year, we’ll reevaluate our options. At this point we don’t know if
there’s a chance that our fall sports might happen in the spring, or if that would be a shortened season. We will look
at all available options once we are allowed to return to play.
We encourage you to find ways to keep your kids active and engaged in exercise and play, for their own physical,
mental and emotional health. Exercise boosts mood and helps kids focus and retain information better. Go for
a walk or bike ride. Create a scavenger hunt in your neighborhood. Set up cones and run sports drills in your
own backyard. Explore local trails. Turn up the music and have a dance party inside. Find a fun new way to get
your kids moving, until we can all get back together for team sports.
